Supporting Our Community: Fundraisers for SPUSD Families Affected by Fires
In conjunction with the South Pasadena Middle School Music Boosters and other community members, the SPHS Music Boosters want to assist those in our community — teachers, staff, students, families — who have been impacted by the recent fires. A list of active fundraisers has been created and is available HERE. Best efforts have been made to verify the accuracy of information. If you would like to add someone to this list please submit the information HERE. Mr. Padrón is the Orchestra Directors at SPMS and SPHS and a doctoral student at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music. Mr. Padrón was forced to evacuate his home and was never able to return due to smoke and water damage. We are heartbroken to hear he lost most of his belongings, instruments and scores. Mr. Padrón did not request any fundraiser as he is a humble and private person, but South Pasadena is a generous and supportive community. Our students and parents created a GoFundMe campaign to help rebuild his life . Mr. Padrón and family are deeply grateful
